Coffs Metal Works — Refund & Returns Policy 

1. Australian Consumer Law Compliance

Coffs Metal Works complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Customers are entitled to a remedy if a product is:

  • Faulty,
  • Not as described,
  • Not fit for purpose, or
  • Fails to meet consumer guarantees.

Where a major failure occurs, customers may choose a refund or replacement. Where a minor failure occurs, we will provide a repair, replacement, or other appropriate remedy.


2. Change‑of‑Mind Returns

Coffs Metal Works does not offer refunds or returns for change‑of‑mind purchases. This includes incorrect selection, compatibility issues, or ordering the wrong size/specification. Please ensure all measurements and specifications are correct before purchasing.


3. Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We may request:

  • Photos or videos of the issue,
  • A description of the fault,
  • Order details or proof of purchase.

Once assessed, we will provide the appropriate remedy under ACL.


4. Incorrect or Missing Items

If an incorrect item is supplied or something is missing from your order, notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will correct the issue promptly by:

  • Sending the correct item,
  • Supplying missing components, or
  • Providing another suitable remedy.

5. Returns Process

All returns must be approved prior to sending items back. Once approved, customers will receive instructions for returning goods. Returned items must be:

  • In original condition (unless faulty),
  • Packaged securely,
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase.

Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.


6. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • If the product is faulty or we made an error, Coffs Metal Works covers return shipping.
  • If the return is due to customer error (incorrect order, wrong size, etc.), the customer covers return shipping.

7. Stock Availability & Back‑Orders

If an item is unavailable after purchase, we will contact you with options:

  • Wait for restock,
  • Choose an alternative product,
  • Receive a refund.

Back‑order timeframes depend on supplier availability and freight conditions.


8. Custom‑Made or Modified Products

Custom fabrication, modified items, or special‑order components are non‑refundable, except where required under ACL. Please confirm all specifications before ordering custom work.


9. Freight Carrier Delays

Coffs Metal Works is not liable for delays caused by third‑party freight carriers, weather events, or other external factors. This does not affect your rights under ACL.
