Viper Aluminium Boat Fitment Kit To Suit Micro Series Drum Winch

The aluminium boat winch fitment kit is essential for those looking to install a winch on their alloy boat, particularly for Micro Series Drum Winches. As the popularity of aluminum boats grows, the need for effective winching solutions becomes increasingly important. One of the primary concerns with fitting a stainless steel winch to an aluminum boat is the electrochemical reaction that occurs between the two different metals, especially in a saltwater environment. This reaction can lead to corrosion and degradation of both the winch and the boat structure, posing a significant risk to the durability and functionality of your vessel.

Another critical factor to consider is ensuring proper insulation, particularly when there is a 12V power supply connected to the winch. If any stainless fittings are in direct contact with the aluminum hull, deck, or dash, it can lead to electrolysis, which might damage components, including the outboard leg and the boat's electrical systems. Overall, without the proper precautions, these issues can lead to costly repairs and a potentially dangerous situation on the water.

The aluminium boat winch fitment kit includes two heavy-duty plastic winch sandwich plates, an anchor roller insulation, and insulation spacers for each bolt, along with an aluminum switch faceplate. This comprehensive kit ensures that every part of the installation is insulated and secured correctly, preventing any potential reaction between metals. Furthermore, using this kit significantly enhances the longevity and efficiency of the winch installation.

In summary, the aluminium boat winch fitment kit is a must for every alloy boat owner who wants to ensure a safe and effective winching solution. By carefully insulating all components, you can avoid common issues associated with metal contact and enhance your boat's performance. Ensure your boat is equipped with the best fitment kit available to enjoy worry-free water activities!
